Plans & limits

Ask about this page ChatGPT Gemini Claude

Halyard is one flat monthly price per workspace, sized by company headcount, with unlimited human members on every plan. This page is the precise version of the pricing page: which numbers are hard limits, which are fair-use guides, and exactly what your agents and teammates see when a limit is reached.

Bold cells are enforced. Everything else is a fair-use guide.

Only the Free plan has hard limits. Paid plans are never cut off: if a paid workspace runs far past its included agent queries or band size, that is a conversation with us, not a paused product.

A source connector is an org-level integration that feeds the knowledge graph: your Slack workspace, and one connection each for GitHub, Notion, Linear, ClickUp and Atlassian. Personal account links (your own GitHub, calendar or Notion identity, used for attribution) never count.

When a Free workspace already has two connectors, connecting a third stops before you leave for the provider. Settings → Integrations shows the limit with an upgrade link. Re-authorising a connector you already have is always allowed.

Search — in the app, in Haly, and through the MCP search_knowledge and list_knowledge tools — only returns entries created in the last 90 days. Nothing is deleted. Older entries stay in your workspace and come back into search the moment you upgrade. Search responses tell your agent how many matching entries were outside the window (excluded_by_plan), so it can say so instead of guessing.

Agent queries (Free: 2,500 per calendar month, UTC)

Section titled “Agent queries (Free: 2,500 per calendar month, UTC)”

Every MCP tool call counts as one agent query, on every plan; the count is on Settings → Billing. On Free:

  • at 80% every tool response carries a plan notice so the agent (and the person reading along) knows the cap is close;
  • at 100% tool calls return plan_limit_reached with an upgrade hint instead of running. A few tools that let an in-flight expert conversation finish (whoami, check_response, get_conversation, reply_to_expert, close_conversation) keep working.

The counter resets on the first of the month.

Teammate resolutions (Free: 10 per calendar month)

Section titled “Teammate resolutions (Free: 10 per calendar month)”

A resolution is an ask_expert question routed to a human. Questions the knowledge base answers itself, and repeats of a question asked in the last five minutes, are free. Past ten, ask_expert returns plan_limit_reached; the knowledge-base answer path keeps working.

Band size (all plans: a nudge, never a block)

Section titled “Band size (all plans: a nudge, never a block)”

Bands are sized by headcount as a fair-use guide. When your active members pass 80% of your band, Settings → Billing shows a notice with the next band; past 100% the notice gets louder. Nobody is ever prevented from joining a workspace.

Every enforced limit returns the same shape, as HTTP 402 from the API and as an isError tool result over MCP:

{

}

Growth and Business can be bought monthly or annually from Settings → Billing (an admin action). Annual is about 15% off the monthly price. Existing subscriptions are never changed without you: a price change on the pricing page applies to new checkouts only.
